Has anyone with these vans tried to increase the opening angle of the front locker door? I find it very uncomfortable trying to remove gas bottles etc. because it only opens 90 degrees . I have thought I could put new longer support struts so that the door would lift higher but not sure if this would work. Would be interested in your views.

The biggest issue is that if you open it too wide you stand a very good chance of cracking the door by the hinges. As far as I am aware the only struts that will allow it to open wider only increase the travel by about 5cm. I use a knee pad.
