Elddis Crusader owners

Has any owner of the Elddis Crusader Caravan had any problems with the Front Window getting dirty marks in between the two plastic panels of the window. I have just had the middle front window replaced ( not under warranty ) cost me a sum. Now after approx 6 weeks. the same has happened with the new window. I wanted to know if this is a common problem or I am just unlucky. I own a Elddis Crusader Supersirocco 2008 model. Any advise appreciated.

What kind of dirty marks?

As almost all windows on UK vans are made by Polyplastic it sounds very much like the similar problem that has been subject of many posts about Swift vans.

As a 2008 van the window should have been replaced under warranty if it is faulty.

Doug,

As your caravan is a 2008 why wasn't the window replaced under warranty if it was faulty?

Because I didn't read my warranty info in detail, I thought the windows would be more than a years warranty, unfortunately they only have 1 years warranty. The marks are like rain water has dried on the window. only this is between the plastic. I know that all windows in Caravans get condensation bewtwwen the plastic, but this eventually drys out. I think the window has not been cleaned properly before being vacumed together by the manufacter. i really don't know the answer.

Doug,

There is at least 2 of us with windows of Feb 09 and April 09 date stamp that have the same problems. Polyplastics are now retooling to hopefully finally solve the problem.

Demand a full refund this is a widely known problem.

I appreciate all the responses concerning this window fault. I have written to the Explorer Group asking for a reimbursement under the warranty. The dealer who replaced the window is sorting the current problem, they knew about the ongoing problem with Polyplastic. Thanks for your response.
