After much looking around various caravans, fixed beds, twin axle etc etc, have finally took the plunge and bought a 2003 Crusader Typhoon. Have yet to give it a try, any comments from anyone that has one, or previously owned one appreciated.
I have not actually got one of these vans but I looked at one recently at a dealers. Lots of kit with the van , but I did notice a couple of things you might want to look out for. The laminate on the wood above and below the gas fire was peeling, and the upholstry appeared to be 'bobbled' where it had been sat on the most. The sink in the bathroom had also been resealed a couple of times. Apart from these couple of points the van was excellent and appeared to be well made and of a high spec. Enjoy.
Adrian, try and get an independant assessment of the van, we tried to trade our Omega in and the dealer was a bit retrospect about being stung with this year of manufacture and an Explorer Gp product! Check the insides for damp around the near side and off side awning rails, under the bed boxes, especially where the floor meats the walls. Hope you dont have any, Bazz.
