Wonder if anyone can help or should I say enlighten me . I was looking through the 2009 Crusader Aurora wiring diagram , I was looking at what colour wire powered up the bathroom 12v lights ,no problems with them.
I wanted to power up an additional 12v led . But whilst looking I noticed that there was supposed to be two 230 volt lights ,I was certain that I hadn't got any . So turned every single light on and then turned the mains off .... they all stayed on as I thought .So no 240 volt lights . Have Elddis ever fitted mains lights ? Do they fit them now ? I'm only curious.

Hi Martin ,
My 2016 Elddis Affinity is all Led and all 12 volt . If You imagine going off grid , they would have to be 12 volt to work off the battery . Obviously, when on electric hook up , they still work off 12 volt and the charger replenishing the battery . Not sure if any Caravans have had 240 volt lights though ?

My 8 year old has no mains lights. All 12v & LED.
Amazing how time flies ;)
Thanks for all the replies . I thought they might have a back up if the battery went flat . when we first had the van checked the voltage of central lights which looked like mains unit until I took the cover off and realised they weren't mains , I've only just got round to checking with mains disconnected . we've had the van about 9 months now ,you cant rush these things can you
I did **** up last time out .... The van had been serviced (my wife wouldn't let me do it ) . They had silicon greased the 13 pin which felt quite odd ,anyway at the site the warden pushed me into rushing a little as I pulled the plug it didn't turn all the way ,didn't realise I had misaligned it . about to leave in torrential rain, plug wont line up , No amount of twisting failed to realign couldn't remember how to pull apart so went to get a better signal near site office and use internet . there was a couple with a new van and I asked if they mined me looking at their plug to get orientated with fittings, they said they had a tool so I used that, a quick twist and we were all set to go ,I ordered two when I got home one for the van and one for car . I cant believe how easy it was to misalign it After a life time with 7 pins ,I love the 13 pins even after dropping a b*****k .

Slightly off topic , but years ago everything worked off gas , fridge , lights and fire , boil a kettle for a wash and if You think about it , that was truly off grid , no gizmos and the water came with the thing You pressed with You foot on the floor . Happy days :)

My 2011 Coachman Pastiche has two corner mains lights in the lounge, all of the others are 12 volt. Can't see the point really but that's what is there.

Forgot to check those and to turn them on for my unplug test . Just done it now ...... they stayed on 12 volt. They are all 12 volts ,we have no 240 lights . Thanks Bryan for that I thought they may have been .
I am now fully enlightened . best regards Martin

The most common use of 240 volt lights is in the front lounge where we have two on our Lunar and the previous Avondale had the same. I am trying to remember if the Eldiss we had before that had and think so but not sure.
I did look at their current spec but it does not mention any mains lighting.

Our 2010 Sterling Elite Searcher has two mains light at the front in the lounge area, everything else is 12 volt.We had an Elddis Jet stream some years ago did the same thing mains lights at the front all the rest 12 volts. I dont suppose 240 isnt a good idea in the bath and shower area anyway .
