electric cars

read a little snippet of news yesterday. had look at the date to make sure it wasn't April the 1st.
apparently the electric cars we are all supposed to buy now. are too quite at low speeds. so from 2020 they must be fitted with a audible warning so cyclists and pedestrians who are wearing head phones can hear them coming.
now it is just me or would it be better to ban cyclists and walkers from wearing head phones while near the highway.
and has everyone forgot the green cross code or flipping just look where there going.

They're having a laugh aren't they ; and how loud are the audible devices going to be to overcome people's headphones cause you walk past some people and they're absolutely blasting ?!

Now that alot of the V8 Engine manufacturers, have change the firing order, you no longer get that lovely " Gumble".

In most Audi and Ford V8 engines cylinders 1-2-3-4 are on the right hand side of the car, with 5-6-7-8 are on the left. Likewise, the firing pattern is the same for Chevrolet & Chrysler V8 engines with a firing order of 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, and for Ford's V8 engines with a firing order of 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

There was a hint a few years ago that electric cars would have tyres that gave out an audible, noise , that would warn people of the car coming. Don't tell RR and Bently.

I think this is all getting rather silly, audible tyres, every car bleeping like R2D2 in a mood. Lets keep it simple and fit cowcatchers.

I don't think its cows that are the problem, its pedestrians

Yes, but the scream as you scoop the first one up would supply an audible warning to the next jaywalker.
