electric flush switch

Hi All,

Checked on our van this afternoon, and on switching the van's elec on, noticed the electric flush pump on the loo came on. Tried the switch but it wouldn't stop.

Lifted the rubber seal above the switch, and removed the 2 small screws, hoping I could then extract the switch, but to no avail. It now looks like I'll have to remove the 4 external screws from the toilet flush charging point to access it. Anyone had a similar problem? Our van is a 2002 Ace Award Northstar.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM LAST YEAR

REMOVE THE CASSETE AND SHINE A LIGHT ONTO THE ROOF OF THE CASING AND YOU WILL SEE THE WIRES ATTATCHED TO A SMALL SWITCH.

THE SWITCH CAN BE REMOVED BY PULLING IT FROM ITS PLASTIC HOLDER.

IT IS HARD TO REACH SO PREPARE FOR A STIFF SHOULDER

I FOUND THAT ONE OF THE WIRES HAD COME LOOSE AND WAS IN CONTACT WITH THE OTHER ONE CAUSING IT TO SHORT CIRCUIT.

I SOLDERED IT BACK WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY AS THERE IS NOT MUCH ROOM TO MOVE AND THE SWITCH IS TRICKY TO REPLACE.

I THINK IT IS THE MOST FRUSRATING JOB I HAVE EVER DONE ON THE VAN SO THE VERY BEST OF LUCK

DAVE
