Electric grill compared to gas

Anyone had experience with electric grill. Tesco are advertising 1800 W Daewoo bambo. Vivax 1800 W at Nay is similar. Would I be as happy with this as a gas grill? I have the capacity to carry both with me. No gas point under awning.

That'll draw nearly 8 amps - so it'll depend what else you have switched on at the time.
