My Aunt and Uncle are caravaning in Biscarrosse in a Swift Azzura 5 berth they have now had 2 new batteries since going and the polarity light is on on the zig panel if anybody has any suggestions or advice i would be very gratefull .
 
The polarity of the electric supply on French sites can be reversed. The red light is indicating that the polarity is wrong. They will need to change the positions of the blue and brown wires in one of the plugs on their hookup cable. The battery charger is probably polarity sensitive and not working. If the cable is modified remember to change it back on this side of the channel.
 
Even on the same electricity post you can find one socket ok and another reversed! Its helpful to have a simple tester from your local c'van shop.Also you may encounter older style sockets so an adaptor may get you out of a fix
