Can anyone suggest a low wattage kettle as mine keeps tripping the electric ?.

thank you

Lynn
Yes go to your local caravan shop, buy a 1kw kettle for about £15/20.
Our old one still working was 750 watt and took forever, the 1kw is much quicker.

i have used a standard electric kettle for years with no problems , just turn every else off its only for 2-3 mins ,

Lynn....... if like me you also carry a gas hob kettle, then consider one of these (others are available)
Make sure one of the rings is rated at 1000watts which makes it a low power appliance.
They have the advantage of being more versatile than a kettle
If you are paying for an EHU why use gas?

I also use a domestic kettle if the site supply allows.
Most club and large sites have a 3000watt supply and a domestic kettle will be fine as long as you make sure other heavy use appliances are turned off.
When a supply trips off, the kettle often gets the blame, when infact the kettle would be OK if the total electrical usage did not exceed the supply.

They boil quicker if you fill just prior to switch on using water from the hot tap

Uurgh! No thanks. We don't ever drink any of the water which comes via the aquaroll, always using fresh water from the site tap or if we're further away from a tap from the fresh water in a 5L bottle which we keep for top ups. We make sure this is newly filled morning and evening.
We've just bought a nice new whistling gas kettle - http://www.goodyears.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=9452752 - which is very snazzy. It comes in various colours to match your interior!

I bought one recently from Amazon, just look out for something described as a travel kettle or be sure its 1kw or less. They take longer to boil than gas but whats the rush

We have for the past 30 years used the water from the aquaroll via the onboard tank here and in France and Spain etc
We do boil it in the kettle
That's what they do
