electrical

Does any1 know what make and model electics was used in a Swift Provence 1995 i bought it on the cheap as its my first caravan but it is missing the whole panel all the wiring is there but i want to try and get hold of the proper electric panel for fm caravans in hull to fit.

Hi Ben,

I can't tell what make and model of unit your caravan would have had, but I am sure that Swift could tell you. Some of the technical lads from swift monitor this forum, and may reply, but you might be better emailing Swift with the model year and chassis number of you caravan.

I am sure you will appreciate that a lot has changed in the 15 years since your van was produced, so it is going to be a struggle to find a new direct replacement, but you might find a caravan scrap yard with one.

The basic functions won't have changed very much so it should be possible to find a suitable alternative modern version.

Hi Ben,

There were a number of control panels fitted to our 1995 caravans, and I'm afraid our information is limited.

If the "hole" where the control panel was fitted is the original size, it may help to narrow the panel use.

If the hole is rectangular, and upright, then the panel was a Plug-In Systems PMS7 system, and the panel would have been a PMS7-GL (basic), PMS7-GT (with water level sensor for the on-board tank) or a PMS7-GX, with a battery condition meter.

If the hole is almost square, it would have a KT9CSU control panel.

I hope that helps.

Ash
