help I do not know what is wrong with my fridge it works on 240volt but I cannot get it to light on gas I do not know if I am trying correctly I get a clicking sound from the top left button but it does not seem to light, thanks

Sounds like the burner jet is blocked with soot. Most fridges have to be removed from their housing to gain access to the rear. Not a big job for anyone who knows how to do it.

i had this problem, and the reason was that the power of the gas flow was too much for the spark. ensure that when u try to light it, the min/max control top right is only set at a quarter, not full. it worked for me, hope it does for you..

"Wow" what a great site, thanks for your comments I am going to weston on trent today for the st Patricks "do" and will give your addvice a try

Two interesting comments on why it might be? First if it's sooting then something is amiss, probably a blockage in the flue tube or too much gas through an oversized jet. This brings us to Colin's solution which is almost certainly due to either of the above two problems, it actually should light best on the high setting!!

Sorry should have said, the solution in all three cases is a proper service.

Minor problems are a timely warning, if you don't heed them they only get worse?
