Electrolux RM 4271 Fridge

Just got back from a weekend, not on hook so fridge on gas, used it on gas loads of times no problem.

This time temp would not come down, had a look down the insection tube (inside the fridge) flame seemed very weak. The best way I could descibe the normal flame was shape of the Milenium dome. (if thats how you spell it)

Took out the burner and cleaned out the jet, with a fine piece of wire, the flame improved 100% and temp started to come down. Flame was blue but not normal shape.

Only problem is wife said there was a burning smell, when we packed up we notice a scorch mark above the vent on the side of the van.

Sorry it was a bit long winded, any suggestions ??

What you have done is destroy the jet and you must get the fridge properly serviced by a Dometic Approved engineer.

The jets must NEVER be tampered with as they are critically set for the correct amount of gas and even touching them with fingers can affect them.

You MUST NOT use the fridge in its current condition.
