En route stop Dordogne to Brittany

We are making our first long distance trip in France this year and I am having some difficulty in finding an overnight stop near the A10/A83 about halfway between the Dordogne and Brittany.
I have tried the ACSI book but there doesn't seem to be anything fairly near the motorway. Are there other sources or site guides such as for municipal sites etc. or does someone have any recommendations?
Any help would be much appreciated.

We have called at a few doint this route in the past - Camping Venise Vert by Niort or Camping Bel Riviere at Nantes - 5 minutes east of the ring road.

I really would not leave home without a comprehensive guide, even if you have a fairly straightforward trip planned with main bases booked there can always be delays or problems that interfere with the plans. The ACSI guide is great for locating bargain sites but it is nowhere near as comprehensive as the Caravan Clubs "Caravan Europe". Michelin also do a guide but it is in French.
Back to the original question, I too use Vensie Verte and intend being there on Saturday night.

Thanks Lesley and David. Camping Venise Verte sounds ideal as we wanted somewhere near Niort. Also I'll get the Caravn Club book as ACSI doesn't seem too comprehensive as suggested.
Many thanks.
