Shoplifting just to survive is likely to become more prevalent over this coming winter - the latest prediction is that energy costs will rise 65% in October, that's on top of the 54% last April - and the previous October, many of us lost our cheap fixed deal when our supplier(s) went bust.

When people find the cost of living hitting them the temptation to shop lift is that much higher. The problem is we all pay for the thieves in higher prices increased to cover the thefts.
