As per NT, I think Cotehele House, Mill and Estuary buildings are absolutely superb. As a property, it has to be one of the very best.

If you like Social history as well as grand architecture, and your runabout will get you to Southwell; the Southwell workhouse is worth a trip.

We are in the NT,,,we just happened to be in Scotland at the time and the joining and renewal fees are HALF those of England,, and we have FULL access to any NT property in Scotland,,England,,and Wales.
We've visited many properties and with a couple of exceptions they always offer a lot of interest.

It's purely a coincidence that I'm a Scot,,,but not tight,,, just a careful christian.

Are you saying that if someone from England was on holiday in Scotland, they could join the NT there for half the price? If so, it is worth knowing. Thanks

That's exactly what we did,,,I'm a Scot as I say, but I live near Chester,,left Scotland as a child.
We were on holiday up there and visiting an NT site and it was pointed out to us by the lady on reception the advantages of Scottish membership so we joined.
Had no trouble or never questioned on visiting any NT location anywhere.
