Lifted shamelessly from Practical Motorhome, I can only assume that the driver couldn't convert feet and inches into metres, or he was 'following the sat nav'

Anybody want to buy a cheap motorhome? good engine and chasis but bodywork is a bit rough............

Would have loved to have heard the 'conversation' immediately afterwards.

Looks a lot like the approach to the port of Boulogne - ad a near miss at the same place a few years ago as the first 'height' sign some 100m back was obscured and it was raining very hard.

At that height, not many caravans would get through without damage. Easy enough mistake to make I guess.

Possibly 30mph as the caravan part is nto "rigid" and it would not take much to damage it.

He appears to have stopped in about 8 metres, so about 15mph - the stopping distance from 20mph is 12 metres.
