Hi All,

I've got my future towcar mpv's down to 2 contenders, based on running costs, the Renault Espace and Kia Sedona. I've read a lot of favourable comments about the Sedona, not much about the Espace. Both options are diesel.

Please comment, especially about the Espace.

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

On my second sedona - so slightly biased. tows like a dream never a hint of problems excellent engine but obviously you get what you pay for inside. The difference in price between the Sedona and Espace is huge - depends what you want to pay.

Hi Mark, hit the wring key last time.

I have had my Sedona 12mnts and its a good tug. Havn't checked the towing mpg but plenty of torque from the 2.9 diesel when you want it. Recent 10,000 mile service from main Kia dealer was

Hi Mark,

Currently on my second Sedona, with no problems to report. Used it in France on two occasions now, and you sometimes forget you are actually towing a caravan at all such is the ease with which it tows. I would highly recommend the Sedona, black with tinted windows looks great.

Hi,

we have a 2.2dci espace and tow a van with a max weight of 1492kg. Most of the time I dont even know its there. Outfit is totally stable and the car has so much power in reserve that I can honestly say I havent found a hill that has slowed me down yet. All in all very happy - one thing to warn through - mine is the grand espace and with a van thats 23ft including the a-frame it makes for one hell of a long outfit so avoid tight turning spaces.

Thanks for the Espace info Paul. I've just ordered a Sedona LE 2.9 diesel. I saw a couple of cracking Grand Espace' both on a 52 plate, but for an extra couple of grand I've got the Kia which was on special offer......lets hope I've made the right choice.
