Quick question, a mate of mine got the Queens Fire Service Medal, is that a big deal or is it like a Good Conduct Medal ??

I've got one as well, infact I don't know where it is. If I recall rightly you have to do either 20 or 25 years frontline emergency work. Staff in H.Q. or Control staff never receive it, at least on the Ambulance Service they never. We also received a medal for the Queens Jubilee.
