We are travelling to france this July again, but have decided to use the tunnel instead of the ferry, the website stated that the LPG cylinder for the caravan is ok, but cannot be more than 80% full, this must be demonstated before travel?

how do i demonstate this ??? if any experience of this please let me know.thanks Paul.

Have taken the caravan on the Eurotunnel on loads of occasions and my gas bottles have never been an issue. The front locker is opened, the bottles given a visual examination and the ubiquitous clipboard is duly ticked. I usually travel with two Camping Gaz bottles, one part used and the other full. Never been a problem.

Tunnel is a great way to travel and as other reply states - inspection made of gas bottles. Also, when you turn up early I have always been taken with no extra charge. Higly recommended.

The 80% refers to fixed lpg tanks used for heating / cooking purposes not the portable cylinders you are using. Engine powered lpg vehicles are still not allowed.
