Have read threads, old and new, regarding weight,I embarked on a rainy afternoon(and nowt else to do!) on what I thought would be a pointless exercise. How wrong I was....it was an eye opener!I decided to weight EVERTHING that I concidered "essential" in my van right down to such things like cutlery and plastic sundae dishes!A calculator and a few simple maths later,I discovered that all I could load into my van,was a mere 57kgs!!Bear in mind that there are only two of us,I was shocked. We dont have alot of electricals as we do rallies/THS without HU.It made me wonder how many out there are unaware of the actual laden weight of their van when towing and the dangers overweight can cause.

Hi Alan & Christine

any chance you could post the list of essentials with weights. Although it is fair to say that my essential list could be different from your own.

Thanks
