I see a few requests for sites with specific attributes, may it be a sport or location or type of pitch. With a saddened heart we have had to put our first continental holiday on hold, so now we are looking for the site that has everything in the UK.

Trevornick in Cornwall has it all, club/entertainment, fishing, gold, beach, pool, full service pitches etc etc the list goes on....

But we have done that one several times now and want a new location, similar facilities. Anyone know of anywhere at all?

Gotta get booking soon....yikes

I sympathise totally with you, having booked ferry and pitch for Cambrils park in August, I now will also have to cancel any thoughts of going abroad this year. (At least you get a refund of the 40% deposit).

SWMBO,s Father has been diagnosed with a tumour so understandably she is reluctant to go very far so it looks like Holgates for summer. Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you investigated Hillhead, near Brixham, since the Caravan Club took it over? ( Page 84 in the sites guide - non members admitted ) I have never been there since the take over but it might just fit the bill - I don't think it has fully serviced pitches though.

Thanks everyone, I looked at all the suggestions. Some met our needs but were booked full already, some didn't meet our needs and were taking orders! I have found a place though, and have just paid the deposit for Searles Leisure Resort in Norfolk. It looks to be a huge place and centres round statics, but it has all we need on site.

We've been to Searles, but quite a lot of years ago. We really enjoyed it, the pool was lovely, the clubhouse albeit very busy was good too, especially for kids. The supermarket was wellstocked and shower/toilet blocks to the highest standard and best of all the touring pitches were marked out by hedges in between. It was two minutes to the beach, literally across the road and about 15 minutes walk to Hunstanton itself.

I would say, it is years since we went and it may have changed, but it is one of the best sites we have ever been on.

We have spent several holidays at Searles in Hunstanton. Facilities v. good. The caravan area is separate from the statics; two minutes from the beach and ten minutes walk from town centre; you can have a meal without having to drive! The site has plenty of entertainment, if you want to take part, and there appears to be plenty for children.

My husband is a keen windsurfer and he does this the other side of the town.

Yes, I quite agree. I book most of our sites from recommendations. Therefore we are going to Setthorns this year as highly recommeded on every forum I go on.

We went to Haven in perranporth last summer and it was actually quite good but of course thats just the one site, I would have to say a defintate NO NO NO though to any Park Resort !!
