excess sealant

hi to all

my 2009 van has excess sealant around the door frame that is sticky and turned black from white ,how can i safely remove this.

hi tony i had the same problem on my van what i did was use a razor blade and gently run it round the frame then the excess just rolled up into a balls . then just washed and polished the area.

I have in the past just used a sharpened, knife-like, ice cream stick.

Very gingerly cleaned residual sealant marks with rag just moist with White-spirit if its a soluble sealant, but go careful unsightly is a whole lot less trouble than leaks.

Take it back! The dealer should have cleaned before you had it!

Any residues can be removed with a rag and white spirt.
