Calling all Compass, Elddis and Buccaneer owners. What do you think of your caravan's washroom? Are there features that you love, are there elements that you loathe? We're off to visit the people who make Explorer Group washrooms and this is your opportunity to tell them what you think. Who knows, you may even see some of your ideas in next year's models...

We have a Crusader Super Sirocco and the washroom is brilliant - more spacious than Abbey, et al. The heated airing cupboard is also bigger than other manufacturers make them and this is a real bonus. They do need to consider the lighting though because for a six-footer who wants to shave, the lights are all in the wrong positions for effectively using the mirror! (Another non-washroom gripe is that they don't they offer a 135Litre Fridge/Freezer like their competitors do - why not??)

I have a 2002 Avante 482 - dislikes: 1. The two mirrors over the sink which join in the corner - Where they join is where you look, which makes for an unusual double image. 2. The table stowaway could do with anti-rattle insert. 3. The shower head adjustment is limited by the clearance between the shower wall and the riser bar. 4. Our shower drain leaked because the fitting didn't line up with the holes in the floor (very poor quality control, very obvious to anyone who looked). 5. The warm air outlet in the shower can leak. Like: 1. The layout - bigger than some en-suites. 2. The Shower - hot and reasonably powerful (but needs a fully serviced pitch to fully enjoy this) 3. plenty of cupboard space.

We have a Compass 2005 534 fixed bed with corner washroom. The shower has a pull round curtain which makes showering just plain horrible. Swifts appear to have a sealed door and shower doors on their similar models - definately worth a look, but would rather buy Explorer than Swift.

We have a Compass Rallye 2002 lovely van good layout but the washhand basin and the corner mirrors are really terrible, I am sure they can come up with a better/bigger basin than this also it will not take a brain surgeon to put just one mirror instead of two. Lighting is also another issue in the bathroom that needs to be looked at.

we are hopefuly going to buy

a replacement caravan from a

main dealer away from our home due to not being satisfied with our local dealer. Can we have the caravan serviced by an approved mobile person or would this invalidate the warranty. We won't buy if we

can go down this route.

we have a compass corona. its a magnum(dealer special)

i love the wash room its so pretty.the mirrors are excellent and cupboard space first class. we dont use the shower as we always go to sites with full facilities the only thing i would like is a clothes rail in the shower compartment this would enable us to hang wet coats when we are not using the awning.

We have a Compass Magnum 534 fixed bed with corner toilet and shower room which has a shower curtain to keep water in the tray. It would be nicer if the compartment was fully sealed with the shower separated by solid partitions - a la Swift. That apart, the overall washroom experience is fine.

We've got a 2004 Elddis Avante 482 and love the full width washroom. Being a big bloke those soppy little "side on" ones are a total no-no for me. One small fault. Cannot understand why mastic wasn't applied right the way around the hand basin. Getting this rectified under warranty. Otherwise.....Great!

We own an Elddis Avante 630 (twin-axle 5 berth FAMILY van). There are only 3 main problems with our washroom , 1, the toilet is a bit too high for comfort ( and I'm 5'6) 2, our youngest is too short to reach the light switch (she's 7)so either I get a disturbed night or she has to use a torch, the switch is above the back of the sink at about 5 feet high, and 3,the floor space at the toilet would be alright if you only had 1+ 1/2 feet, the wheel arch getas in the way. everything else is ok

we bought a new Elddis "Avante" 524 last June, the van is brilliant, the end-washroom is ideal, shower, warbrobe, toilet, basin all in one, perfect! the only comment, bigger wash-basin would be an advantage and a shaving mirror,as the only light is behind you when shaving, pass our compliments to Elddis, we luv it.

We have a 2003 Compass Liberte 14/2 and the washroom is excellent. The internal batwing doors close off the shower area so no flapping curtains, all other fixtures and fittings are fine but why oh why cannot the floor tray be fitted to self drain? After a shower it takes hours to scoop away the water unless the van has been sited with a backward tilt and still there is work to be done. Surely it cannot be beond the wit of todays caravan designers to mould the tray with a built in backward slope - just like every domestic bath!

we have an 2003 Elddis Odyssey 505 (bathroom on offside in middle of van), and our only gripe is that when the toilet roll holder is stocked with paper, it prevents the toilet seat from being in the up position - only needs to be 2/3 inches higher or on other wall. It's really a really stupid one - and we had same problem in 2002 model. We wrote and told them - but no success.
