External Pump

Hi

My the wire on my external pump is not long enough, does anyone know how to open the pump to replace the wire, or alternatively a safe way to extend the wire

I think it would be far safer to buy a new pump....

Why is the wire short ?

Submersible pumps are usually sealed during their manufacture. It is not possible to fully replace the wire as that would compromise the seal around the motor, However you may be able to extend the wire provided you do it at the end that connects to the caravan. Make sure the the new connections are fully water tight.

I cannot condone your, comments regarding electricity and water. Regardless of the supply voltage water should not be allowed to come into contact with any electrical connections. even with extra low voltages such as 12V or less.
