F.A.O. Brenda from Dublin

Hello Brenda, read you post on NEC show and see you are from Dublin would you be able to tell me anything about a site called Hidden Valley in Rathdrum, we are thinking of going there for a week just would like to know abit more about it.

Many regards Jenny

Hi Jenny

We havent stayed in it but took a spin there one day while staying at river valley. If you have kids I would not recommend it because so very close to the water and the main road. With no kids very pretty and relaxing looking place.

There is a nice caravan park in roundwood also not sure of name though, Hope this helps.

Brenda

Thanks Brenda, there is 3 families of us going and most of the kids are teenagers, we thought it would suit them for the fishing and boating. We have been to River Valley before and enjoyed our stay but the older boys would have preferred somewhere closer to a town where they could have walked to.

Thanks again for the reply, i'll talk it over with the others and see what they think.

Jenny

I think it will be great for teenagers, Rathdrum is a lovely village. My 4 are under 8 so I was thinking more of that age group! Enjoy and be prepared for the M50 because of major roadworks ..

Any chance road works will be finished by then. lol. I hate that part of the journey down south and road works wont help any. We hope to travel on a sunday don't know if that better or worse.

Thanks again.

Every day is the same on the M50 carpark as its now been called! We went to zoo on sunday morning, on m50 at 10.30 and very surprised at how busy it was although by time coming home at 3 it was complete nightmare heading south so go early..
