Hi Rob, our trip to Holland is only five weeks away.

Have you any ides of the mileage or time taken to get to : Disneyland Paris ( was thinking public transport maybe better) and also the Belgian border ( just to take the kids to Belgium to say they have been)

I will probably have a few more questions before I go.

Regards John

Hi John,

We're off at the end of next week until the start of July, so get any cloggie questions in early.

You're staying at Duinrell? Then a day trip to Brugge (Bruges) would be a good idea. Except for the driver - it's about 2hours30 each way

You simply drive Rotterdam - Breda - Antwerpen - Gent - Brugge via the motorway network. And park in the station car park (Park and Ride) which has a free bus transfer into the city centre.

It's fantastic, but don't eat on the city square - it's an obvious tourist trap and much better value just off the square.

The city centre of Gent is also good - and a bit closer.

But from Duinrell - you have easy access to Delft, Leiden, Den Haag, and Amsterdam

And rather than Disneyland (which would be a massive day trip - Rotterdam - Antwerpen - Lille - Paris and about 5+ hours each way), why not look up Efteling on the web? http://www.efteling.nl/home.aspx?LanguageId=2

Efteling is based on European folk-lore themes, and is just different to the USA pap. Travel from Duinrell to Efteling - about 1hour30 each way

Efteling is also quite close to the caravan hyper-store at Schijndel - so you could fit both into a day trip

Robert
