Faskally caravan park pitlochry

Not a brilliant site. It slopes quite a lot but the main problem was the tenters who descended from Glasgow, Edinburgh etc with the intention of drinking as much as possible while there and being noisy with it. Not a restful site but it clearly suits some people.

Hi Andrew

Personally I'd use Rive Tilt caravan site or Blair Castle site, both at Blair Atholl and very civilised.

Cheers

Alan

It's 9 years since we were there and it's in a beautiful area. The grass pitches were very sloped and the toilet block wasn't very good though it may be improved now. We enjoyed our stay there but since then have always gone to Blair Atholl which we could not fault. It's great to be able to walk into the castle grounds

Hi Andrew,

It has to be Blair Atholl every time. It's a Best of British Site,5* and has a website which you can Google.

Have you considered Milton of Fonab, Pitlochry.

Unlike River Tilt and Blair Atholl this is right on the edge of Pitlochry and in easy walking distance if you want to be near Pitlochry. The walk along the river via Pitlochry Dam only takes about 10 - 15 mins.

Must admit is has been 4 years since we stayed there but unless it had gone down hill rapidly it was a very clean and well kept site. We drove round Faskally but for the reasons listed it was not for us.

Currently looking at plans for next year and Pitlochry is an area we want to re-visit so would be interested if anyone has stayed at this site more recently.
