Favourite Caravan Tyre Brand?

Wondering what everyone’s favourite tyre brand is?

Just been reading up how to fit my TyrePal sensors and noticed all my tyres were at 29 and the label on the caravan states 33Psi, so have pumped them all up.

Looked at the tyre brand and we have Laufenn G-FIT EQ 185 70 R14 tyres fitted.

I used Hankook Vantra LT. But quite frankly I didn’t have a favourite brand. On previous vans I had GT Radial, Avon Firestone etc As long as you ensure the tyre spec is suitable it’s a choice between budget, mid range or premium. I’ve always tended to fit tyre with a recognised brand name. No Wily Wongs😱

Ooooh, you are going to get so many different responses to this question. Good luck deciding which ones to go for.

I use Hankook Vantra LT, Laufeen tyres are made by Hankook in South Korea,
So should be a good tyre.
Your tyres will drop several psi, depending on the weather.

Since I only change van tyres every 5-7 years I don't have a favourite, just whatever seems good when the time comes round.

Oddly our caravan tyres have always dropped pressure (only by 3-4 psi over 6 months or so), whereas the car does not. I always wondered if this is due to the higher pressure, 65psi as opposed to 33 on the car.

I have always been told air will get through rubber eventually, but can take months to drop. Which is why you only see such little psi drop after 6 months.

I would presume that higher pressure pushes the air more quicker through over time

….thats my logical thinking of it anyway, probably wrong  :p

Like Clive we prefer a known brand name as there is a reason but unknown brands are so cheap. A month ago we changed all our tyres for Falken. Previously I think we had Ovation fitted.

Falken are a good brand we’ve had them on two cars, daughters car and their AT on an off road Pajero. They are part of Sumito who also now make Dunlop tyres.

I've just had 3 new tyres on the van. Previous set of Riken tyres were 8 years old and still in good nick. Spare was 15 years old and and to the best of my knowledge had never touched the road.
Replaced with another set of Riken tyres.

Just looked them up as I had never heard of them, Riken are part of Michelin.
As a "budget" tyre for my size of required tyre 195/15/70, 104/102 they are quite expensive.
The Hankooks Vantra LT, I am looking at are cheaper.
