Fenboy in Lancs

Hi all,
The Missus and I rediscovered cycling last year. We were camping at Robin Hoods Bay last September, using it as a base for cycling between Whitby and Scarborough.
We were sitting in our tent in the evening, shivering. That was when I decided that we really needed to be more comfortable.
So now we have bought a Coachman Amara 450/2. 2004 vintage.
Firstly it's condition is pristine. We liked the layout with the large rear washroom and the overall quality.
Towcar wise - it's a new Mazda CX5 2.2 Diesel Sport Nav.
So I'm towing at around 80% with power to spare

Hi PD, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on buying the Coachman

I'm sure that you'll both find it very comfortable and warm and Coachman caravans are always held in high regard by forum members because of the build quality.
If there is anything that you're not sure of don't hesitate to ask and I hope that you'll also enjoy using this forum to tell us about your cycling holidays.

Hi PendleDuke big welcome to the forum, glad you have found a nice van to start off with, now make that first booking and enjoy.

Morning PD, welcome to the PCv Forum.
Coachman caravans have always had a good reputation and it sounds like you have bought a peach.
There's plenty of technical help on here should you need it. Never be afraid to ask.
Happy caravanning.

Welcome PD, With all that the British weather could offer for the last two years we have consigned our canvas to the bin. Though caravanning has made it harder for us to transport four bikes without the trailer. Oh, and UP THE CLARETS.,

Welcome PendleDuke to the forum.
It sounds like you have a great outfit there. You are certainly in the right place for advice on this Forum.
enjoy all your trips out.
regards Brian
