Has anyone had problems with migrants when sailing back from Dunkirk, ferry booked for May/June 2016 but worried about the approach to Dunkirk on the return ferry.
Regards
We've used Dunkirk for 13 years and never had a problem. Came through Calais once and almost had the doors ripped off the van. Never again.
Having said that, I believe the French have now built a camp near Dunkirk.
I shall be back again in April.
Karren, We came back through Dunkirk last October and no problems, the people wanting to get into the UK seem to be mostly at the Rail Tunnel, not the Boat ferries, in my experiences.
What, have others experinces, recentlely. , !!!.
Hutch.
came back early September midweek and lorries where queuing miles back although they were letting cars past i believe.. i say i believe as my sat nav has live services and it took me into the port from 2 junctions earlier than it normally does.. early November no problems . but i sense, unfortunately Dunkirk isn't the secret it once was and whether it becomes a target for illegals or not it looks like getting busier through trucks realising it is a great alternative to Calais.
Have used Dunkirk since the days of the Sally Line and never had any problems, always check under the van before getting on and coming off the Ferry just to make sure you have no unwanted passengers, if you have brake hard they soon disappear.
