ferry trip

Hi all it's been a while since I have been on the forum. But if anyone has information that may help you can.

I am looking to do a crossing Dover to Calais but I only want a day trip or 2 days in Calais

My question is has anyone travelled yet? Obviously a test is required that is understood.
but, could I come back on UK test if I am with in the 72 hours? If not how does one obtain test in Calais and time for results ?

TIA happy vanning

The French are only allowing in U.K. travellers for essential reasons only. So are you sure even if your visit was essential you wouldn’t have to quarantine Calais.

Well, suffering serious withdrawal symptoms for baguettes, croissants, cherry beer, wine all the usual essential reasons to go there. The ferry ride too!!
