We have just purchased the Fiamma Caravanstore Zip and don't have the faintest idea of how to go about installing it on the side of the van.

Could anyone who has one of these already give us any tips please?

Thanks Kath xx

Hi Kathryn

You have to unroll the canopy from out of the bag, then you have to thread it through the awning rail. When it is completly threaded through roll it up into the bag again.

Don't forget to put the screw stops in at each end of the canopy. Other wise it will move around on the awning rail.

Oh thanks is that all? We got worried as the pictures seemed to say that you screwed something into something. I said no way should you screw anything into the caravan walls so that is where we halted!!

Oh that is a great help - we can try again tomorrow weather permitting.

Thanks again Kath

They never show the bit that you are interested in.

As Brian has said you unroll the canopy and feed it through the awning rail.

Its better if someone holds the bottom (ie the big tube) so that it doesn't swing and dent the caravan

Once erected peg down the legs and guy the front top corners immmediately.

They are pre programmed to lie on the caravan roof with legs akimbo

We have a Caravanstore Zip and noticed (thanks to another forum) that the legs were rubbing away the paint on the 'van wall. I stuck some clear waterproof tape onto the 'van (99p from Wilkos) similar to that used on car rear wheel arches. Job jobbed!
