Fieldmice Infestation

The guy who parks his two year old Avondale next to me has been blighted by mice. They have nested in his bedding and eaten a considerable amount of cable insulation causing extensive electrical problems.

Any ideas on prevention?

Cheers

Alan

Make sure there are no holes into your front locker and no way of them climbing up anything to get into them - that is how they got into ours are a few years ago.

Hi Alan,

we had the same problem with mice in our van but caught them early.

We blocked up every hole and still we kept finding droppings.

Eventually we realised that where the back panel on the outside folds underneath the floor there was some gaps where it wasnt nailed so after filling them with sealant we found the mice stopped.

We also purchased a battery operated mouse deterent from Argos, I think it was about

Mice hate the smell of mothballs. We hang some in small mesh bags in the 'van when in storage - keep them in the front locker when in use.
