Fife Campsites

Hi,

could anyone recommend a nice campsite for our FIRST caravan trip - in the St Andrews/East Fife area, please?

I know the area, but it would be nice to have somewhere that keeps the kids amused, has friendly staff, easy to pitch, etc. (not wanting much am I??).

any advice greatly appreciated.

No,you are not because you can have it all, honest.

We went to St Monans camp site on our first caravan trip 4yrs ago,it was brill.

Small site, very friendly people and extremely helpfull site warden....he will help you with anything.Park for the kids, and skatepark for the older ones too.A short walk into town, chip shop and chinese.Absolutly fantastic coastal walks, and beach.

Have a great time wherever you go.Patricia

There are two campsites in St Andrews, Ive only stayed at the Kinkell braes which was a good site and handy for walking into town along a seaside pathway.

We stayed at Shell bay caravan club which was great for the kids aged 2 and 7- good clean toilet (brand new) right on the beach - it had a good clubhouse and great kids play area- near Elie
