Just watched that on you tube hutch , class , did you see the more recent one of the Astra GSi !! Looked a good / different set up ! Imagine pulling onto site with one off them !

The idea is several years old but never seems to have caught on. My feeling is the car roof and roof rack fittings were never designed to take the load imposed by the trailer and that long term it would not work.

The disadvantage with pickups is that you can't pirouette the towing vehicle like in the clip with roof mounted pivot. :silly:

I haven't hutch , I played it through your link on you tube and seen it at the side . It's a lot newer than 1974 though .
