As a general all rounder yu cannot go wrong with a Dry Powder extinguisher.
2Kg is the smallest you should look at , but remember, a fire extinguisher is only there to allow you to make a safe exit from the van, it is NOT intended to be the complete answer to putting out a fire.
The best advice still stands Get Out, Stay Out, Call the Fire Brigade Out.

I agree with sprocket, Lidle or Aldi , i have a lidle one and hope i never have to use it.
I often see caravans with a bucket of water outside, hope they remember to unplug the mains cable before they throw it over a fire.
