Hi Brian

Colombier was the first place we took our caravan. That was three years ago. We used it as a stop-over on the way to the Loire Valley last year. This year we went back for another 2 weeks. Although a Castels site http://www.les-castels.com/en/ it is generally more peacefull than the children orientated sites. Having said this there is plenty for children to do if required. Once a week you have the opportunity to eat in the chateau with food cooked by the Lady of the house. This is a must. She speaks excellent english and is always helpful. This is probably the best area in Normandy. If you go make sure you have a day out at Honfleur. Hope this helps.
