First time to France

Looking for some help as i am driving to france in July for the first time.
I was wondering what i need to do or get for driving.
I am not taking the caravan.

we take warning triangle bulb set ,a fluoresent vest for each person,make sure tyres etc are good and car serviced,breakdown insurance.Map bookand satnav.We arrange cheapish phone deal as well to talk to kids,headlamp adjusters can't think of much else but others may add to list
 
Same as the above, yellow vests, triangle, spare set of bulbs, first aid kit, all your car details, insurance, V5, MOT, driving license.

Just to clarify, while it's sensible to have them, a First Aid Kit & spare bulbs aren't compulsory (despite what the shops at the ports & on the boats say)
 
..........it is also advisable to carry a spare set of spectacles if you need them for driving.
If your only set gets broken you cannot legally drive your vehicle.
