First trip of the year - advice needed

Hi, We were newbies to caravanning last year and are looking forward to our very first trip of the year next week. Is there anything we should do before we use the van again? I'm thinking of cleaning pipes, aquarolls etc. What products do you use and what jobs are essential? I'm pretty clueless!

Hi Angel,

I would sterilise the water system and aquaroll with a sterilising agent of your choice, I prefer Milton but others are available.

If your van hasn't had a service recently check everything is working as it should, water, gas etc. You really don't want to find out you've got a problem with your cooker or water pump half an hour after you arrive on site.

Check tyre pressures and tyres in general. You might also want to give the caravan a wash if it's been sitting outside over the winter.

make a list before you go and tick it off as you go,add to it if you go away so you have got it the time after.let the wife pack the van,then take her pyjamas out you will have a great weekend.
