Fixed Bed bedding

Just bought our 1st fixed bed caravan (bailey senator indiana)

This has a "corner" fixed bed.

Can anyone advise a solution to the fitted under sheet suitable i/e any known retail outlets that offer such products etc.

we just use the normal fitted sheets as used in the home .

they seem to work o.k.

Hi Paul,

We have the same van and just use a normal shaped fitted sheet and tuck it in under the "cut off" corner, it works fine. There is at least one company makes bedding to fit fixed beds in caravans, I'm sure I got their web address from a posting somewhere in this forum a couple of months ago. I had a look but felt their prices were a bit expensive. If I come across the address I will let you know.

This is our second fixed corner bed van and we have found that normal shaped bedding does o.k.

But they are not cheap.We have the Pageant Burgundy and manage fine with a bottom fitted sheet and a duvet on the top.

We have a fitted sheet on the mattress held in place underneath with elastic braces!!

We then have a 2in+ sponge overlay which exactly fits a single duvet cover for length and width(same as bed).The excess triangle of cover is folded over and safety pinned underneath.

The cover stays wrinkle free and needs little making

we pinned a fitted sheet on corner and sewed it on its called a housemaids corner I think it keeps the sheet tauter and stays in place took about 20 minutes altogether

We're looking at the Senator Virginia to buy later in the year. When we were at the NEC exibition we noticed that Bailey have a contact with a company that make made to measure bedding for fixed bed caravans. If you want the perfect fit and plan to keep your caravan for some time, it may be worth contacting Bailey to get the address.

Thanks George. That info will be useful in September when we get the new 'van. Have you had experience of ordering beddind from this company?
