Fixed Bed Conversion

Hi, i have a 5 berth twin dinette layout which we bought specifically to suit our needs, the rear lounge is ideal for the 6 year old gaffer.

i was wondering if through time i could maybe convert the pull out bed to a fixed type, perhaps get a matress made to measure. anyone have this done on theirs ?.

HI! Highlander you can get a matress made to fit any size in Inverness by Blindcraft (don,t know the price but think it could be expensive ) i had a Swift challanger 500se very similar to yours and saw a few people with just an ordinary matress that fitted to a T, shop around you should get one somewhere i take it that you are in the Highlands like myself

We did that with our Ace Award Nightstar when new 2 years ago

I made a frame using 2in X 1in planed timber from Wicks and adjusted the bed width to get 2 pieces out of the length of timber

cheers for the replies again folks, and Douglas, no i don't come from yer neck o the woods. i'm down here in Ayrshire, just used the username because i reckoned most folks in here would be from other side of Hadrians wall, so to them i am a Highlander.

cheers Highlander come down your way a few times go to craigie gardens nice site but i think they have changed it a bit
