Flu bug any one else

Hi Got home from work yesterday afternoon feeling cold sat by fire try to get warm, bed time came half way thro the night, back/forward to the loo, cough and god know what else, been to the doctor this morning he sign me off for the week, I hate being off work, but one of those thing, anyone else got the flu bug? Trevor

Felt the bug early part of laft week while vanning in Sommerset, still suffering with symtoms.

Many years ago around 1957 I was in the RAF in Germany and caught the dreaded ASIAN Flue was sick for a good three weeks , Legs went eyes and all my bones seem to ache,contant shivering, eventually the whole camp got the bug, what ever strain it was the antibodies within me got a terrific boost, as touch wood never had the Flue since.People who have a couple of days off work saying they had the flue are living in cuckoo land.

I have a magic potion called water. I drink plenty of it, and if any bugs are going around I just up my water intake. I retired when the doctor started warbling about blood pressure concerns.Have never had any BP worries since. There's to much to be enjoyed so we've never got time to be ill.

Wife and I don't expect to be ill and we never are.

First time I had the flu jab some 20 years ago it knock me back off work for 2 weeks, so this flu bug I got now is clearing up not as bad as it was last time, so three more days I hope to be feeling like fighting my way back to work, love my home but rather be at work, Trevor

I`m a bit intrigued, if you have Flu why go to the doctors and if it really is Flu you woulndn`t have been able to make it there anyway.

No wonder doctors surgeries are fully booked a fortnight in advance.

Most people off work for a week ,do not have Flu ,they just have a common cold ,for which there is no cure ,so why they go to the doctors ,i dont know ,any body who has Flu would certainly not feel like posting on here ,or useing there PC
