Flush pump position

Hi guys am putting in a new flush pump see attached photo see arrow's dose the pump slot section sit over the raised white bit on the photo or not or it used for wiring I think it clips over the white section but not sure please advise many thanks.

Thetford C250 the pump is facing straight up into the tank this is on a Luna Quasar 2009 model the photo is showing the bottom of the pump going inside the flush tank hope the helps thanks for your reply
