the blinds in my eccles sappire will not go up after i have pulled them. i have tried to turn them by hand but they just go back down again does this mean they are unfixable and i will have to replace them or does anyone know of w way to fix them.
Hi Keith, I have the same problem on my abbey 214 gts. My service guy informed me the spring was adjusted up to the limit. The only way forward is to get a new spring, or new blind. Trouble is the van is a 1991, bought 2nd hand, dont know make of blind, or where to go and get a new one. I have decided to take the spring off, and take it to a spring manufacturer, and get him to quote me for a 1off. If I get any joy, I will post you. Of course yours may not be the same problem. Meanwhile best of luck.
if you take the cover off the side of the blind at the top there should be a tensioning screw which on my'van pulls out slightly before trning the screw but do not turn it too tightly
