Focus C-Max towbar

Has anybody fitted a towbar to a Focus C-Max using the (none Ford) plug-in loom for the electrics ? The loom fits piggyback onto the existing car loom at the rear lights and kit contains all the relays etc, sounds better than Scotch locks but do they work OK ? I have reversing sensors on the car and the kit I have in mind does not cut them out when reversing but I do not reverse too much when towing so can live with it. Will a non- detachable towbar interfere with the sensors when I am not towing, giving false readings ? Thanks in advance for all replies. Martin

Hi martin

You will need the detachable bar. I had to have an argument with the dealer because the tow bar he fitted interefered with the sensors he eventually fitted the Ford removable one. The Ford towbar was made in Germany & is really a nice bit of engineering. I purchased extra keys which I had to get direct from Germany as Fords here couldn't get them. Luckily a chap at work speaks German and managed to sort it out for me. They cost over
