Fold down Double bed in Caravan??

Does anyone know of a caravan which has a double bed you can leave made up and it folds back into[against] the wall? My In-Laws had a 6 berth Pemberton Static many moons ago and it had one. I'm sure I've seen one in one of the caravan mags but can't remember which.

Carol....my friend has just the van,,,a fleetwood,2000 model in great condition which he is selling,central scotland....bed pulls down,when not in use makes a great use of the space,,,he is advertising it on ebay..if you check under fleetwood tourers youll see it...it really is a very sensible layout I dont know why there arent more like it.........have a wee look let me know what y think........regards

I've just had a butchers on ebay it's still there,

When we were 1st married we lived in one in a field on a cliff top in west wales great views great bed idea worked a treat, that was in 1969 the caravan must have been 10/15 years old then,the roof leaked,rear window was broken and leaked.

looking back i would not have put pigs in it.But there you are,it was better than living with the in laws.

back to the ? why don't manufacturers make a modern version a good idea waiting to be taken up. why not enter baily's comp and design your own? good luck.

Reading about the Pemberton was a blast from the past. My Aunty had one at Coldingham in Scotland and we stayed there in 1967. I still remember the bed coming down out of the wall and the solid fuel firestove. Plastic sink and yellow plastic seats in the kitchen. End bedroom with a toilet compartment where we had a bucket and chuck it type toilet.
