We're looking for a lightweight folding dinning table to seat 3-4 comfortably that folds up small and doesn't take up a great deal of space. There are so many on the market I just wondered if anyone recommend one that ticks all the boxes and will stand up to years of use?

We have had one of these for years, with easy adjust legs to make it level you can also put a peg though the hole in the foot plate if required, we use our's every time we are away ...

We started carrying an extra table for the awning but when we weighed our van and found it overweight we realized that the van's own stand alone table (which has its own storage location) was just as good for use in the awning. We never used the table normally as the pull-out flap at the front of the van is big enough to have meals on.

Like Woodlands Camper we use the free standing one from the caravan. I accept it is a bit heavy but unless weight is an issue there seems little point to us in carrying another although I would be wary of leaving one with a wooden top out in strong sunlight.

A few options regarding folding tables when camping or caravanning. It really depends what you need it for and what you will be using the table for. In your situation you will be needing it for 3-4 people and if it is being used as a dining table that a basic plastic folding table will be fine.
When I go out camping I usually take a table that folds in half and turns into suitcase. It is lighter and makes for easier setup and storing. However when I go caravanning and we will be there for a couple of weeks then I like to take a single piece top table. Yes it takes more space when stored but it well makes up for it in the strength department. It stands up to my entire family really using the table when we are out.
