Here are pictures of the cassette compartment. Can any one tell me what the purpose of the flap in the bottom of the compartment at the front is? Secondly right at the back is a rectangular block with what looks like to be a fuse. Can this be removed to get under it to clean properly? Double check the seals on the actual cassette and they seem to be okay.

I'm not directly familiar with the Thetford C-250 as Lunar have changed to using the Dometic toilet - I'd guess that the flap in the base may be to allow access to the flush water supply if it comes up underneath, perhaps in motorhome or boat installations - the block at the front might be a proximity switch so that the flush cannot operate if the cassette is removed.
Sorry, can't do any more than guess.

I believe an option is to have an extractor fan to remove any bad smells.

The fan and a filter fit into the recess under the flap.

I was thanking you for tidying up the original HTML which saved me the trouble of finding the pictures because I had to go out and was in a bit of a hurry

Thanks. It seems that it is a space for an electric ventilator. Still not sure whether the thingy at the back can be removed to clean underneath.
