Font colour - updated etc

hi

I was just wondering if the colour of the text for 'updated or new' etc could be changed from red to blue (maybe blue in bold).

I just find red a rude colour and not very aesthetically pleasing on the old eyes.

I think it is all very annoying-in any colour. I happily browsed before. As I have some vestiges of memory left I could recall what I had read previously. Now all the threads are clamouring for my attention; insisting that they are updated or have new content. "read me read me" they shout. The nasty red colours won't go away until you do. I wish to assert my independence. I will choose which threads I read, and if I read one twice, thats up to me. Go away all nasty insistent colours.

I don't like the new notice either - there are threads which I don't want to read at all - but as Mel says they are now clamouring for attention, even if I've not ever looked at them before! I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea - but I prefer it the way it was before. Perhaps if we had a 'vote' mechanism we could have a poll to find out who likes the new notices and who doesn't!

I thought that by clicking Mark all topics read it would get rid of the Updated bits but it doesn't. A far better way would be to also have a Read Unread Topics clickable link and a new window would open with all the posts you haven't read. One could select the threads you wanted to read and then afterwards click the Mark all topics read to clear those you don't want to read.

Yes LB, that's exactly what we want (Hello, Techies????).

(no doubt they'll come up with some reason why we can't have it........rolling eyes thingy which is another thing we - well, ok, I - want but which seems to be an icon too far, hehe
