Its been a long day. and you ask me a question like that, If I could give you an answer I would be a challenge to Defra its self. Logic is not part of their vocabulary . Last year in 6 weeks my farm was inspected some 8 times mostly by very nice helpful Defra staff, whom I get on well with no problems except my time. In January I had an urgent letter from defra wanting to know what animals I kept on the farm!! We have our CL open as usual it is not near any stock and the only changes we have made is we cannot take visitors to see the animals, which I miss.

I know how you must be feeling at the moment now that a second case has been identified. My other half is farmer with some cattle and hundreds of sheep! They are trying to get the harvest in while the sun is out and it is dry and now they have the worry of F&M. Fingers crossed there are no more cases

Its just a corner of a small meadow with woods on all sides. We have kept it simple in keeping with me, The boss runs it I step in when the grass wants cutting etc. We were very quiet in June July but this month hardly a vacant pitch ( thank heavens) but we do get allot of fun meeting people from all walks of life. When you live in an area you do not appreciate the surroundings,I find our visitors find places of interest that I had never heard of let alone visited.
